Heirs

I keep trying to describe a dynamic that seems to work for me simply because I recognize it for what it is. I don't really have to do anything but understand how it works to keep up. Everything seems to fall in place only as much as my integrity does. there's not much difference between integrity and atonement in my way of seeing the world. My integrity appears to gather itself around the notion that the world can do what it likes, but how I react to the way the world does, is pretty much up to me.

I read a book by Tom Patterson last week. He sent me a copy free of charge, so I felt sort of obligated to read it. I mean it wasn't a book written by somebody else that Tom thought was real groovy, it was a book he had written himself. It had a lot of photographs in it. He wrote about this eccentric named Eddie Martin. Eddie was born in Marion County, Georgia to a mean, tenant farmer that drank a bit, and an angel for a mother.

Eddie was "different" even unto himself, and it won't long before he started going up north on the train and hanging around New York City selling his body and hustling to pay his way. Later on in like he started reading cards for a living, and that's the part of the book that interested me. He got to know a man who did this for a living. He worked in a Tea Room and read the dregs of the tea leaves in the bottom of a cup.

Somehow it came about that this man Eddie knew propositioned him to get into the business himself. Eddie liked the idea, but he did know what he could talk to people about. His mentor told him something I identified with completely. He told Eddie that if he just sorta allowed or thought that he could do it, he probably could.

I never even watched somebody read palms except the time I got mine read along with a couple of other kids out on a lark. Of course, it was different for me because I was already reading the Tarot cards, and had begun studying astrology too. Astrology is considered the Mother of all the occult interests (your milage may vaer(, but any of those augury devices is about just saying something. Astrology is a system that gives a person something to say when there really ain't nothing left to say.

Every situation has it's own band wagon. It's not always easy to "Climb Aboard!" because it should be idealistically harder to do than this. It's as hard as you make it. Making it that way either consciously or no is not seems haphazard.
